caribbean vacation

we spent the last 10 days of october in the dominican republic visiting our friends, karin, eric and little eric. for the first 5 days we were in juan dolio at the beach, staying in an apartment and for the last 5 days we were in santo domingo staying at karin and eric's apartment. we were so blessed by our time there and enjoyed seeing our very good friends.Make a Smilebox slideshow

we spent the majority of memorial day weekend at the josti lake house. we came back saturday for a law school graduation celebration for our friend dave medlar. congrats dave! we had spectacular weather most of the weekend and steve, jack and i were able to get our tent set up sunday before the downpour so we had a dry spot for sleeping sunday night when we returned from church. maddie slept

this is a long one...it's maddie's baby dedication. since our church meets in tj and dena's apartment, this was a special time for us and our community. we were also glad to be able to share it with both sides of the family since my parents were here. we are so blessed to have maddie and we pray that God would continue to guide us in the way that we nurture and direct her.

Trip to Maine

So just to confirm...there is only one little bean inside me. And we did hear the heartbeat last week. What an amazing experience! Every now and then we would hear a loud sound, which was my heartbeat, but you could hear the fast pace of the baby's heartbeat.
